MAGNET Snowboarding

After watching horror movies all night, the girls from the MAGNET program woke up at 4:15 am to begin the adventure of picking up all the guys. After being in a cramped mini-van, jumping onto the charter bus was pure pleasure for these young people. The folks at Winter Park saw great dedication from the teens despite broken bindings and many attempts at mastering the ride. It was an awesome, fun filled, snowy day.

Thanks to Martin and the folks at Denver Parks and Recreation and Esteban Baca with Urban Scouting/ Denver Area Council Boy Scouts

Boarding in Vail

Saturday was an early morning for the GRASP youth from St. Charles Recreation Center, but the early wake up was well worth it once we arrived in Vail greeted by fresh powder. After some instruction on balance, stopping, and the ever-present fall, the kids were ready to go and rocked the slopes. One step closer to the Winter X games!

Thanks to Karina @ GRASP, SOS Outreach Snowcore Program, and Esteban Baca with Urban Scouting/ Denver Area Council Boy Scouts of America for making a great day happen.

Extreme Challenge Arena

The young people from the MAGNET program spent an awesome day at the X-Treme Challenge arena in Thornton. While climbing ropes, throwing each other off of hanging contraptions, racing, catapulting one another, and doing bike tricks in the air, we were able to build memories while testing strength and building teamwork.
